Hampshire John M'Donald (otherwise Murphy) (aged 21) John Johnson (otherwise Cook), aged 25, and Joseph Platts (otherwise Taylor) (aged 23) guilty of a burglary in the dwelling house of James Hampton in the parish of Headley on 17th July 1801: stealing therefrom a great coat (valued at 8/-), 6 pairs of worsted stockings (valued at 2/-), a pair of trousers (valued at 6d) and a man’s hat (valued at 6/-).  (Burglary of William Trigg of Headley in Hampshire Chronicle).
